Linville Falls and Gorge
Near: Linville, NC
Route: Cabin Trail, Linville Gorge Trail, Pinch In Trail, Memorial Hwy
Distance: 15 miles
Condition: Partly sunny day...
Impression: A wonderful hike that deserves an overnight...within the gorge there are limited campsites, but they are there and worth the stay...the trail is tough to follow at times, but for the adventurer, that's not always a bad thing...
This is can be a challenging hike...the climb out of the gorge itself is a strenuous task and after a long day of hiking, can be difficult...for most campers, i would say that an overnight would provide the best experience...a very beautiful sight no matter the time of year, i would recommend this challenging hike to anyone...
